About this call

The purpose of this call is to select one Project Promoter to implement the pre-defined project (PDP3) “Supporting the Cohesion of the Civil Sector” under the EEA Civil Society Fund Slovakia. The project is intended to strengthen cohesion, shared understanding, and cooperation across the civil society sector in Slovakia. To achieve this, it is expected to combine two mutually reinforcing dimensions: analytical work at sector level and structured opportunities for dialogue and exchange. One important component of the project should be the development of a sector-relevant study that explores the current position of civil society in Slovakia, including shared narratives, structural challenges, and risks affecting democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. The study is expected to provide an evidence-informed foundation for reflection and future cooperation within the sector. In parallel, the project should create inclusive spaces for dialogue, networking, and coordinated reflection among civil society actors. This is expected to include the organisation of national-level gatherings (ideally at least two during the project period are recommended), designed to strengthen relationships, build trust, and encourage more coherent collective positioning. The sequencing and methodological linkage between the analytical component and the gatherings may be proposed by the applicant. What is important is that both dimensions meaningfully inform each other and contribute to a more cohesive, strategically grounded, and value-based civil society sector. All activities should be anchored in the core values of the EEA Civil Society Fund – democracy, rule of law, human rights, equality, and civic participation – and contribute to strengthening solidarity, shared understanding, and the collective capacity of civil society in Slovakia.
