About this call
The EEA Civil Society Fund in Greece aims to foster a vibrant and resilient civil society that protects and promotes democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. Within this framework, the purpose of this Open Call is to strengthen the protection and promotion of human rights, social justice, and non-discrimination in Greece. Funded projects are expected to contribute to strengthening human rights protection and promotion in practice, by raising awareness, promoting behavioral and institutional change, and reinforcing civil society’s capacity to monitor, document, and respond to human rights challenges. Supported projects may also include the provision of human-rights related training and capacity building, access to support measures for victims of rights violations, the promotion of access to information and justice, and the active engagement of citizens in human rights issues. This Open Call also includes a budget allocation for Rapid Response Actions. Applications for Rapid Response Actions will be invited through a separate announcement at a later stage, enabling the Programme to respond promptly to urgent and emerging human rights needs. For more information, please consult the Open Call text.
