Kupiškis Creative Laboratory “KupoDanga”: an Identity search in the Art space

About this project

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">The main aim of the project is to reveal and strengthen the cultural identity of Kupiškis district. During the project will be stimulating social cohesion through creative initiatives that improve the accessibility and distribution of professional cultural, creative products and services, and promote international cultural cooperation in the field. Creative Laboratory “KupoDanga”’ will be established in the Kupiškis Youth Centre. The project proposes to combine innovatively and inclusively the experiences of professional artists, the curiosity of young people and the experience of the elderly. The Laboratory comprises 6 creative workshops: Creative Writing, Photography, Graphic Design, DJing and Mixing,&nbsp; Film and Contemporary Dance. These will be led by Lithuanian professional artists. The project includes the collaboration between youths and elders of the region, Kupiškis University of the Third Age, and a professional curator to create exhibits that will reveal the treasures of the Kupiškis Ethnographic Museum and the Kupiškis Public Library, and introducing them to all Kupiškis district elderships, and promoting the partnership between regional cultural institutions. Additionally, a partner from Norway will lead a Theatre workshop that will conclude with a live performance. </span></span></p>
