Implement research to develop a new generation of ultra-high quality sound insulation product to replace established alternatives to sound insulation products in the construction market.&nbsp;A new product created during the project - an acoustic panel, will contribute to solving several problems:&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">1)&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">Polluting polyurethane waste and increasing amounts of this waste</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">&nbsp;2)&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">Large quantities of unprocessed, incinerated or landfilled polyurethane waste;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">&nbsp;3)&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">Complex management of polyurethane waste, as this waste varies greatly in form and composition (it can be mattresses, pipes, etc.);</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">&nbsp;4)&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Times"><span style="color: #000000">Annually tightening environmental requirements.</span></span>&nbsp;</span></span></span></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 12pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-family: Times">The Partner from Lithunia will bring experience from their previous R&amp;D projects, where they examined how best to recycle used tires by separating rubber from cord and metal. </span></span></span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 12pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-family: Times">Contribution of the Norwegian partner to the development of the acoustic panel will be significant, as the company will conduct research and develop one of the components of the panel - the acoustic base - from recycled plastic waste. This will ensure that the final product is made from 100% recycled materials.&nbsp;</span></span></span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: medium"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-family: Times">The project envisages cooperation between Lithuanian and Norwegian companies and the developed product is planned to be sold in the markets of both countries, so the project contributes to the program goal of reducing economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and strengthening bilateral relations between Norway and Lithuania. Establishing a close relationship with a Norwegian partner will lead to even better ways of recycling and using polyurethane in the development and market introduction of new, innovative and circular economy products, while strengthening bilateral partnership even more.</span></span></span></span></p>
