With this project, the Applicant aims to create, develop, implement the latest and most advanced Post-Shredder technologies (PST) in a closed loop of automotive waste treatment process and integrate them into the currently available technologies. With the implementation of the closed-loop automotive waste treatment process, it will be possible to maximize the recovery of secondary resources of the vehicle scrap, sorting out and preparing valuable non-ferrous metals and separated plastics for secondary use. The process will enable to extract more non-ferrous metals and plastics and of higher quality thus resulting in qualitatively different product range for sale. The products offered to the customers will be more and of higher value/price, which will enable the company to increase sales value and profit margins. The new system will also enable to increase the processing capacity thus leading to increasing sales volume and value.

The bilateral added value of the partnership is expected to include the following: 1) Transfer of knowledge from the best practices from the Norwegian end of life vehicles (ELV) industry will be directly implemented into the project; 2) Added insight about the Lithuanian ELV industry which is vital for a long term expansion of the bilateral partnership.
