Greening onshore drilling operations to increase competitiveness and decrease environmental impact

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">The general objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of SC Foraj Sonde Videle by investing in new equipment in order to reduce operational costs and carbon footprint. This will enable an expansion to geothermal energy market and more jobs from existing as well as new clients. The technical solution includes a new software for the pump system which will reduce the risk of spills caused by accidental bursts of the high-pressure lines, resulting in environmental harm. Two operator’s cabins will be installed for an enhance monitoring, control, and visibility of drilling parameters. Key activities include:</span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">Investment related to the new equipment.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">Project management by internal team.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">Project publicity to promote the project.</span></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">The project has a significant green effect, since the company proposes a transformation of the way the drilling services are performed. The reduction of CO2 is approximately 6.896 tonnes/year related to the 2,6 million liters/year of diesel that will not be burned after conversion to the electrical solution. However, an additional 2.729 tonnes/year consumption will result from using electricity. Therefore, the net reduction of CO2 is approximately 4.530 tonnes/year. The project is also expected to generate 6 new jobs.<br> <br> The project is done in partnership with the Norwegian company Gefion Nordic Norway. Their main activities are operational drilling optimization and consulting services to the Norwegian oil and gas sector. The experts provided by Gefion Nordic Norway AS will assist with drilling equipment optimization and will provide analysis on the entire process of logistics, from planning to finalization of a specific drilling operation, including mapping of all lessons learned.</span></span></p>
