<p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;, sans-serif">Ecoplast Fiber JSC is a private company with activity of recycling of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles to PET flake and then to polyester staple fibres.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;, sans-serif">The main objective of the project is to install a state-of-the-art sensor-based sorting solution for mixed plastic waste, coupled with an energy efficient recycling unit (PET washing line) as well as to install and put into operation a production line for polyester fibres.</span><span style="font-size: small"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;, sans-serif">The sorting unit Autosort [NIR1-VIS] [S-2000]) is a highly innovative Near Infra-Red (NIR) technology which makes it possible to separate optically single-layer PET trays from PET bottles, which is a breakthrough in plastic waste sorting and a disruptive solution thus boosting PET recycling rates.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;, sans-serif">As a result of this, new technological methodologies to use recycled PET will be elaborated including the development of a new design for the production of different kinds of polyester staples fibres suitable to be used in versatile applications within the textile industry.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;, sans-serif"><strong>The expected results are:</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li>Sorting unit Autosort [NIR1-VIS] [S-2000] installed and operating;</li> <li>PET Recycling (Washing) Line installed and operating;</li> <li>Complete set of polyester fibre production line installed and operating;</li> <li>Own purification installation integrated into the production process to re-use (re-circulate) industrial wastewater;</li> <li>129 new jobs created</li> </ul>
