Through the project, qualitative and quantitative data on the area of migration and asylum will be produced, risks will be identified, contingency plans for high-influx situations developed and evaluations and statistics will be produced. Bilateral cooperation results
During the implementation of the project the Project Promoter worked closely with both Donor Project Partners (Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security and Directorate of Integration and Diversity - IMDi). Their involvement included: • Exchange of visits • Presentations • Regular teleconferences • Sharing of expertise, especially on the field of interpretation (IMDi) but, also, on the field of using reporting, prognosis and data analysis for the purposes of Public Administration (Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security). • Comments and observations on various texts produced during the project. • Networking with other entities in both countries that could benefit the project (e.g. our Donor Country Project for the “Registry of Interpreters” introduced us to the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation of the Ionian University, who became our partner and contributed to the design of a qualification and accreditation system for the “Registry of Interpreters”. The participation of the Donor Project Partners in Predefined Project 3 led to an exchange of know-how and experiences, transmission of knowledge and expertise, the building of closer professional relationships, and, ultimately, to a better mutual understanding of how the systems in both countries work, which, apart from the immediate results for the project, may have wider positive consequences for future bilateral activities in the context of the EEA Grants. The cooperation with both Donor Project Partners is scheduled to continue as part of the EEA Grants-Bilateral Relations Fund. Both activities have been designed to build on results and experiences gained during the previous projects.
