About this project

The need to implement the project results from the necessary adaptation of the space of G.Mazowiecki to the ongoing climate changes. The area of the city is currently experiencing problems related to,among others, air quality and warming, low level of rainwater retention and lack of biodiversity of plants resistant to the changing climate. The above problems and the need to eliminate them are corroborated by the provisions of the commune's strategic documents, including the Low-Emission Economy Plan

The project will address the above problems through the implementation of adaptation and mitigation measures, e.g. installation of lighting in the use of RES, creation of retention tanks and plant irrigation systems, planting, application of permeable surfaces draining rainwater into the ground. These actions will involve raising awareness of the society. The result will be the development of infrastructure and the increase in the residents' ability to adapt to climate change.

The project will increase G. Mazowiecki resilience to climate change, including its green areas and water management process, reduce emission, and raise public awareness of environmental issues.

The project will be addressed to a diverse group of G. Mazowiecki residents who will become more aware and educated in the field of environmental protection and will gain a better environment for living.
