The services will take advantage of the unique natural resource which is the bromine iodine saline in the coastal Sopot resort, as well as of the infrastructure of the new centre to be constructed under the project. The centre will allow the Foundation to meet the demand for our services which currently exceeds the available capacities.

The Health Port centre operation will draw from the experience gained in programmes we have realized to-date, that is rehabilitation of children with the use of the natural saline, personalized performance improvement camps, health education and sports activation programmes. The centre will also constitute the base for experimental R&D related to therapies of illnesses such as asthma and skin conditions, and to rehabilitation of the elderly and the disabled.

Development works planned under the project concern services related to water treadmills, and their results will be significant for the Foundation’s future rehabilitation activities. The process innovation to be introduced is applying muscle activity monitoring to evaluate the progress of therapy. That will allow quantitative measurement of actual progress, and optimal selection of exercises for individual patients or groups.
