Based on a study on the consumption patterns of the population, the local authorities will launch waste collection and recycling systems for the following type of waste: from construction work (through open asymmetric Skip-lift Containers), waste in administrative buildings (by installing bins for separate collection), biodegradable waste (through equipment and containers for plants and wood) and waste recycling through mobile centres (where all types of generated household waste will be collected and sorted in separate containers).

The project will help the municipalities to increase the share of recycled waste by 10.5% and will help their citizens to learn new ways to create sustainable solutions within their communities.

The project activities include the delivery and installation of mobile centres for separate waste collection in the Municipality of Ruse and the Municipality of Vetovo for almost all types of waste generated in one household will be transferred to them- paper, plastic, glass, metals, grease, electrical and electronic equipment, hazardous household waste and others in various containers.
