Creating a Management Framework for a lasting Urban Community Gardening

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">Sliema Local Council seeks to undertake the project which particular targets the elderly in the locality. Through this project the council plans to address the lack of possibilities for the elderly and other vulnerable people to perform outdoor activities in a collective and organized manner. The council seeks to utilize a public space for the purpose of conducting a series of practical workshops throughout the project where gardening skills are learnt. The workshops will serve to teach residents practical gardening skills as well as provide them with the chance to work together in an informal manner and interact. Through these workshops the council aims to redevelop the sense of community within ta Sliema enhancing the well being of it’s residents. The local council will insure in creating a community gardening initiative that will be created through this project and maintianted afterwards.</span></span></p>
