Bilateral cooperation results

The project greatly benefited from having a donor project partner, which made a significant difference in its success. The partnership with Strand municipality from Norway, known for its extensive experience in sustainable mobility and stakeholder engagement, added substantial value. Strand's involvement ensured the exchange of best practices throughout the project's duration, particularly in designing the mobility plan. Their expertise in involving local residents and stakeholders in planning and implementation enriched project, enhancing the inclusion of community needs. Strand municipality's role was crucial during study tours and best practice exchanges, where Slovenian partners learned from Norway's success in sustainable mobility planning. Their participation in creating awareness-raising materials and public events helped us develop a more effective promotional campaign. This collaboration was made possible through the Norwegian Environmental Agency and the support of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities, which introduced Strand as a relevant partner for our project. The exchange of best practices fostered a mutual learning environment, where all partners benefited from shared knowledge and continuous communication. This strengthened cooperation between Slovenian and Norwegian partners, enabling both sides to recognize and leverage mutual benefits. Having a donor project partner was vital as it provided access to advanced sustainable mobility solutions and enriched the project with international experience
