About this project

The main objective of the project proposed by Harsova Municipality is to reduce costs, increase the security of energy supply by covering need from green sources and reduce CO2 emissions. They will implement a photovoltaic plant in order to assure the electricity supply for local public buildings and public lighting, which are currently supplied from the national network. A feasible study was conducted which supports this investment.

Construction of a photovoltaic plant of 0,997 MW near Harsova City. The photovoltaic system will produce a total green energy of 1.360 MWh/year for own consumption. Following the implementation of the project, the costs of purchasing electricity for public buildings and public lighting of Harsova Municipality will be reduced. It will also help reduce CO2 emissions and increase security of energy supply. The photovoltaic plant will be connected to the grid and will produce energy but only to compensate own consumption for local public buildings and public lighting. The Feasibility study designated this location as being optimal for maximizing the green energy production.

All the buildings are in Harsova Municipality property. Based on invoices for all the public buildings and public lighting, it revealed an annual electricity consumption of 1.402 MWh/year. The energy produced by green sources will cover 97% of the consumption need, the rest will be provided by the national network. The construction of the plant will have a capacity of 0,997 MW.
