It will also raise inhabitant's awareness of energy efficiency and improve quality of life due to CO2 reductions.

In their current condition, the school buildings fail to provide appropriate comfort of use and require modernisation of the basic structural elements for better energy efficiency. As such, the project will eliminate the ineffective systems in the school buildings, making the schools more socially responsible units.

The planned activities include the thermal insulation of external walls, the replacement of heating installations, windows, doors and internal lighting, and the installation of PV panels.

The target group encompasses students, the school staff and residents of the gminas involved. Bilateral cooperation results
Cooperation with our Norwegian partner NILU Norwegian Institute for Air Research was based on the transfer of knowledge in the field of the use of renewable energy, in particular solar energy in school buildings, and conducting training for officials and children and youth. The Norwegian partner provided knowledge about the latest technologies solar technologies, PV applications, energy efficiency and sufficiency of urban buildings, and the implementation of solar energy in schools and its integration with other sustainable solutions at the school level
